Dear Good Colleague at SPSP - can you please post this to the email list? - it is time sensitive and this is a perfect opportunity for those in the SPSP community working on Climate Change or related technologies that would transfer to this conversation.
Thank you!
Wenda.

Dear Colleague(s),
We cordially invite you to apply to be considered to participate in a series of engaging virtual NSF-Sponsored workshops focusing on the ethical and social dynamics of climate intervention.
To access information and apply, please follow this link: https://apply.knowinnovation.com/climateintervention/
Your expertise is needed to help identify research directions that can shape the governance framework around strategies of Solar Radiation Management (SRM) and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR). While these technologies may offer intriguing and exciting approaches to mitigating climate change, they can result in unintended environmental and societal consequences that require an interdisciplinary approach, weighing the risks of implementing versus the risks of inaction.
This series of workshops will be held in October and November 2024, bringing together interdisciplinary teams of social scientists, ethicists, natural and life scientists, and engineers.
We look forward to your application. Please forward this message to anyone you think may be interested and qualified to attend and reach out to cdr-srm at nsf.gov<mailto:cdr-srm at nsf.gov> with any questions.
