Dear SPSPers,

We are happy to share the SPSP newsletter #21<https://sway.cloud.microsoft/0lkMmAvYENSo2GNX?ref=Link> with you – this time featuring reflections on two important books and events celebrating legacies and SPSP milestones, including the 10th Biennial SPSP at the University of South Carolina.

In this volume:
- Inference and Representation (Hernan talks to the author, Mauricio Suárez)
- Disputed Inheritance (Sara talks to the author, Greg Radick)
- Subjects, Power, Knowledge (Rose reflects on the workshop celebrating Helen Longino’s philosophy)
- Change and Continuity (Ellis reflects on the marking of John Dupré’s work and Egenis)
- The 10th biennial SPSP conference (a colorful update from Adrian – with pictures!)
- Sean Valles takes Saana’s ”Proust Questionnaire”

Some final exciting news is that Rose Trappes is taking over as the coordinating editor of the SPSP newsletter. After 9 years on the newsletter team, the last 7 as the coordinator, I have decided it is time for a change. New brooms sweep well, as they say. It has been an honor and so much fun working on the newsletter, and it will be exciting to follow the further development.

The newsletter will be in very good hands with Maria, Saana, Stefano, Hernán, Max, and Martin - as well as our new members: Elis Jones, Emma Cavazzoni, Luana Poliseli, Patrick Ferree, Clément Lasselin and TJ Perkins. Huge thanks to the continuing team and a warm welcome to new members!

I hope you get to enjoy the newsletter during a well-deserved break with an ice cream or coffee – and don’t forget to watch the video at the end…

All best, on behalf of the SPSP newsletter team,
Sara
